Series S gets GTA 6 on the same day — Microsoft requires parity of release. The two real constraints: ~364 GB of usable storage against a 150–200 GB estimated install, and a lower performance target than Series X (expect reduced resolution, likely 30 fps).
Storage: the tightest fit on any console
After GTA 6, a base Series S could have under 170 GB left — roughly one more big game. Before Nov 12: uninstall aggressively, or add the official expansion card / a USB drive for storing (not playing) current-gen titles.
Performance expectations
Rockstar hasn't published per-console specs. Based on how demanding open-world titles land on Series S, realistic expectations are 1080p-class resolution and 30 fps. If a performance mode exists anywhere, Series X and PS5 will get it first.
None of this stops launch night: same date, same midnight unlock, same preload from Nov 12. It's the same game with the dials turned down.
